A serving Lawmaker that goes by the name and title, Honourable Chinyere Igwe, is in the Police net for reportedly laundering over Five Hundred Thousand US Dollars ($500,000.00).
It would be noted that the General Election is about 24 hours in Nigeria, and according to the Public Relations Officer of Rivers State Police Command, SP. Grace Iringe Koko, the Representative is currently cooling off in one of the police branches.

He said Officers from Rivers State Command deployed to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC Headquarters Aba Road today 24/2/2023 at about 0245hrs, while on stop and search, Picked up Honourable Chinyere Igwe.
He stressed that Igwe is a “Member House of Representatives, representing Port Harcourt II Federal Constituency with a cash sum of 498,100 USD inside a bag in his car.”
