Without sparing any word, they Association hinted that the incessant strike spells doom to the promising youths and if not nipped in the bud, would completely destroy the life of our children.
While speaking during the occasion of the International Workers Day on Worker’s Day,
SSANU President, Comrade Mohammed Ibrahim gave the warning in his message to Nigerian workers.
SSANU President Charges Govt to Accept Unions Demands
Ibrahim said the federal and state governments should consider the demands of the different universities unions and ensure students are returned to school to continue their studies.
The Comrade noted that Nigerian workers are passing through excruciating pains as a result of the hostile working environment even though they create and produce the wealth of the country.
“This year’s Workers Day comes when Nigerian workers are passing through perilous and dangerous times. Nigerian workers and indeed members of our great union are confronted with diverse challenges like rising spate of armed banditry, kidnappings, insurgency, economic hardship and worst of all the inability of government to keep to agreements entered into with all the University based unions in 2009.” He said.
