Activist, Omoyele Sowore on Thursday joined other protesters in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Abuja to demand that the federal government scrap the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad, F-SARS.
In a video posted on Twitter, Sowore was seen among so many other protesters who staged the #ENDSARS protest at the Nigeria Police Headquarters, Abuja.
The protesters called on President Muhammadu Buhari to scrap the police unit as they were seen chanting song demanding that the President must as a matter of urgency put in place measures that will put an end to extra-judicial killings in the country.
Meanwhile, Amnesty International, Nigeria announced that research conducted on F-SARS has uncovered a pattern of ruthless human rights violations where victims are arrested and tortured until they either make a confession or pay officers a bribe to be released.
