Soldiers pursuing criminals around the Anaba general area in Igabi local government have neutralized five armed bandits in Kaduna State.
In a statement on Tuesday, Commissioner, c, Samuel Aruwan said a military operations update submitted to the Kaduna State Government on Tuesday, reported that soldiers rescued nine kidnapped citizens from the armed bandits in separate locations of crossing points.
Aruwan noted that several armed bandits also escaped with bullet wounds into Malum Forest in the ongoing onslaught against the criminals that blocked the Kwanar Tsintsiya axis of Kaduna-Zaria in Igabi local government area at the weekend.
“Five of the rescued nine who were rescued in the early hours of Tuesday during debriefing explained how the bandits burnt the corpses of four of their fellow criminals.
“Pictures of the nine persons rescued are also attached for your perusal.” The statement said
The statement added that “Governor Nasir El-Rufai has commended the troops for their resilience and bravery.
“The nine rescued persons have since been handed over to their families.”
