The Commissioner of Police in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Bala Ciroma has advised residents of the territory to be more security conscious.
He also advised the FCT residents to provide timely information in case of any emergency through the command’s emergency lines.
Speaking at a Press conference in Abuja, Ciroma warned criminal elements to desist from nefarious activities or face the full wrath of the law.
However, he reiterated the ban on the use of fireworks in the FCT as he stressed that violators would be arrested and prosecuted.

In the meantime, Members of the Senate Committee on the FCT have commended the FCT Administration over its response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Chairman of the committee, Senator Abubakar Kyari applauded the measures taken by the FCT Administration at the start of the pandemic.
