Leader of the revolution Now campaign, Omoyele Sowore has raised alarm over the arrest of some people who took part in the protests embarked upon in Abuja, Lagos, Osun and some other parts of the country.
In a tweet, Sowore accused police officers of disrupting the peaceful protest in Osogbo, the Osun State Capital.
According to the tweet, protesters were arrested for speaking the rights and voicing out their ills.
Another prominent member of the Revolution now campaign, Deji Adeyanju tweeted “We are currently witnessing a joint madness by the military, police and other security agencies as over 60 of our comrades have been arrested over peaceful #RevolutionNow protest. The Abacha days are here once again.”

However, it was gathered that the Department of State Services arrested one Olawale Bakare and six other protesters around Olaiya area of Osogbo.
Also in Abuja, over protesters have been arrested by military personnel deployed by the government to patrol different parts of the city.
The protesters were arrested around the Unity Fountain and thrown into at least six trucks that whisked them away to an unknown destination.
Sahara Reporters reported that a convoy of over 50 vehicles loaded with heavily-armed security personnel was seen patrolling the Unity Fountain and Transcorp Junction areas of the city.
