Outspoken Nigerian Lawyer and Human Rights Activists Reno Omokri has spoken against 50 Cent‘s proposed Hushpuppi movie.
50 Cent, christened Curtis James Jackson III, has on Wednesday announced plans to make a movie off the story of convicted Nigerian internet fraudster Ramon Abbas Hushpuppi, also known as Hushpuppi.
The post, which garnered a lot of reactions from Nigerians, has got Reno Omokri not too impressed with the proposition.
In a tweet on Thursday, the former media aide to President Goodluck Jonathan stated that the move will further plunge Nigeria deep into the unwanted river of shame.
He tweeted, “@50Cent’s planned movie on Hushpuppi will further tank Nigeria’s battered image. Many positive things come out of Nigeria, like Dr Olutoye, the first man to successfully perform surgery on an unborn baby and put it back in its mother’s womb. Do movies about those!”
In another related tweet, he advised the American rapper to do a movie about Bernie Madoff, the American who stole $50 billion, thereby pulling off the biggest heist ever on Earth, rather than Hushpuppi.
Hushpuppi was recently handed 11 years and three months jail term which will see him remain locked up for nine more years having spent two years behind bars already. He was arrested for defrauding over 1.9 million people, the majority of whom were Americans.
