American rapper, Daniel Hernandez, popularly known as 6ix9ine has broken the Instagram live record for most viewed. The controversial rapper beats the record set by Canadian rapper, Tory Lanez on Instagram live.
Instagram live has been one of the ways artists reach out to their fans and followers during this lockdown. Tory Lanez and his Quarantine radio team made history as he made the app a get-together platform for celebrities worldwide. He made history by hitting 350k views on his page.
However, Tory Lanez has been blocked by the Instagram community for unknown reasons until April 14. Other artists have also used this platform to reach out to their fans. Nigerians celebrities such as Davido, Asa, Tiwa Savage, Slimcase, and so on have used this platform in recent weeks to entertain their followers.
6ix9ine Breaks Instagram Live Record
Rapper 6ix9ine broke the Instagram live record in just a minute on his birthday, 8th of May. The New York rapper who is known for his rainbow-hair and tattooed face had 1 million views in 60 secs on the same app he rose to prominence in 2017.
6ix9ine wasn’t even the first face to appear on his Instagram live and when he showed up, the number of views increased. He introduced himself with the ‘Bad guy’ song while holding a handcuff.
At the end of the live session, the ‘Fefe’ crooner racked up 2 million views to set the internet on fire on his 24th birthday. This has got a lot of people talking while dragging Tory Lanez to the feat achieved by the hardcore rapper.
