Nigerian rapper, Dremo has joined the #FasholaChallenge which is now trending on social media platforms.
Nigeria’s Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola was in the news a few days ago after he was seen at the scene of the Lekki tollgate. The scene is the place where the shooting which occurred on the 20th of October, 2020 took place. Fashola was sent there by the Presidency to inspect the scene.
When he got there, he found a hidden camera after the place had been cleaned up by LAWMA officials. Fashola picked the camcorder with the help of a handkerchief. He then handed it over to Lagos State Governor. TheJide Sanwo-Olu, for investigation into the Lekki shooting.
This got Nigerians to describe the ex-governor of Lagos as Sherlock Holmes and then creating the #fasholachallenge which has got a lot of participants on social media platforms.
DMW rapper, Dremo, also made his own version of Fashola’s move to pick the hidden/secret camera. The rapper and his crew mimicked Fashola and other governors at the scene of the shooting picked up a camcorder placed on the table.
He then picked it with a handkerchief before handing over just like Fashola did at the Lekki tollgate. Dremo captioned the video of his #fasholachallenge “Don’t touch it, let me use hanky”.
Meanwhile, DMW boss, Davido in reaction to Fashola’s video said that the handkerchief part got him the most.
