On Permanent Voters Card, PVC collection, the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, have so far been criticised and accused of poor performance, as regards the distribution of the cards to prospective electorates.
Many card collection centres nationwide have been announcing to the Nigerian public to come and pick up their Permanent Voters Cards before the deadline.
However, attempts by residents in different states to access their cards have proven abortive, following the intentional moves by some corrupt officials to frustrate the process.
Trends on the microblogging media platform show that numerous complaints about the inability to collect voters cards are on the rise despite the announcement by the commission on various communication channels.
According to @_udoewah, “This is the third time I’m travelling to my Local Governments’ INEC office to get my voters cards. Data has been captured on the CVR Portal and it shows that I’m eligible to vote, but the card is still not ready. @inecnigeria is this a deliberate move to disenfranchise people?” He asked.
