As protesters calling for the scrapping of the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad, F-SARS occupies different parts of the country, some protesters supporting the same course have taken their protest to the palace of the Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi in Ile-Ife, Osun State.
The protesters, who have been calling on the federal government to put an end to police brutality and extra-judicial killings held placards with various inscriptions assembled at the palace of the Ooni.
It was gathered that they also occupied other major locations in Ile-Ife town including the main gate of the Obafemi Awolowo University, OAU.
Meanwhile, a member representing Surulere Constituency in the Lagos State House of Assembly, Desmond Elliot, has thrown his weight behind the call for the disbandment of the F-SARS.
According to the lawmaker, the brutality by some operatives of the police unit has gone beyond releasing hotlines for their activities to be reported or for a reform to be carried out.
Elliot further frowned at the attitude of some SARS officers who arrest people because of their appearance.
