A group of protesters have gathered at the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC Secretariat in Abuja following unrest and confusion that have plagued the party under its present National Working Committee (NWC).
The leader of the group of protesters, Comrade Okpokwu Ogenyi spoke to reporters at the APC secretariat, saying that his group of concerned APC members are demanding that President Muhammadu Buhari orders the immediate dissolution of the present NWC of the party.
He stressed on the recent defection of governors to their main opposition, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the recent defection of the deputy governor of Ondo state on Sunday. He attributed the recent misfortune to the NWC and their lack of clarity, as the party is presently divided, with different leaders laying claim to the position of National chairman after the court upheld the suspension of Adam Oshiomole.
The president is presently reported to be in a closed-door meeting with APC governors in the country at the state house.
