The Presidency has reacted to the recent calls for breakup in Nigeria and the clamour for the removal of President Muhammadu Buhari.
Garba Shehu, the Senior Special Assistant to President Buhari on Media and Publicity, opined that nobody could bring down the Buhari-led government.
The Presidential aide said the Buhari-led administration is a government elected democratically; hence it cannot be brought down by anybody.
According to Garba, President Buhari’s administration addresses multiple challenges facing the country, especially in the area of security.
He added that the administration is still making progress in Agriculture, the economy and the fight against corruption.
Calls For Breakup
Meanwhile, Garba said it is sad that the opposition is exploiting some of these things, adding that the people have a right to tell the government’s truth but must exercise caution.
He advised People with solid ambitions to wait for the 2023 elections. There have been agitations by Sunday Igboho, Asari Dokubo and Nnamdi Kanu calling for removing the Buhari government due to insecurity.
