The President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari has confirmed the appointment of his new chief of staff, Ambassador Ibrahim Agboola Gambari.
The Chief of staff was confirmed in the virtual Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting held today Wednesday 13th May, with the president officially confirming the appointment.
It would be recalled that news about the appointment of the former Senate President Bukola Saraki’s Kwara State man leaked yesterday with different media houses announcing it in their publications.
Immediately Agboola Gambari, the new appointee was sighted at the Presidential vila this morning, journalists have been compiling details of his movements and monitoring when an official statement would be released to that effect.
Agboola Gambari has now replaced the late former Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, Abba Kyari who died last month after suffering complications from Coronavirus.
Abba Kyari was buried shortly after his death according to Islamic rites, but Nigerians raised eyebrows as the social distancing law and other internationally prescribed precautionary measures were not followed during his burial.
