Fans of all 20 Premier League clubs will get the chance to see their teams play at home before the end of the season after the latest fixture rescheduling.
Premier League clubs to welcome fans soon
Previously, the final round of fixtures in-game week 38 – on May 23, six days after the Government’s roadmap out of lockdown is due to reach Step 3 of easing restrictions – had been due to be played in front of a limited number of fans.
However, that would have meant that supporters of the 10 sides playing away from home would not get the chance to watch their teams in action, with the home sides offered the advantage of being cheered on by fans in their own stadiums.
The Premier League has now confirmed that fixtures for game weeks 36 and 37 have been rearranged to allow each club the opportunity to welcome back some fans before the end of the season – though much will still depend on Government guidance as well as regional approaches.
