A black reporter with the Cable News Network, CNN, Omar Jimenez and his production team were on Friday, May 29 arrested by police in Minneapolis.

While confirming the arrest, CNN in a statement described the arrest as a clear violation of their First Amendment rights.
Jimenez who was seen holding his CNN badge while reporting identified himself as a reporter, and told the officers the crew would move wherever officers needed them to.
An officer gripped his arm as Jimenez talked, then put him in handcuffs.
Meanwhile, another CNN crew member, Josh Campell, who also was in the area but not standing with the on-air crew, said he, too, was approached by police but was allowed to remain.
You will recall that President of the United States of America, Donald Trump had earlier condemned the killing of George Floyd who was allegedly killed by a white police cop in Minneapolis.
