Popular Nigerian rapper, Phyno, has accused Enugu State government of trying to kill him and other protesters.
Phyno, who had led protest the #ENDSARS protest in Enugu alongside other music artists such as Flavour, Kcee, and Zoro stated that the state’s government gathered thugs who tried to fight them despite holding a peaceful protest.
The indigenous rapper pointed accusing fingers on the state governor, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, who addressed the thugs who tried to attcak their peaceful protest in the state. “Ezege’ as he he is fondly called made this known in a series of tweet via his official Twitter page.
His tweet reads, “Enugu! Today our lives were threatened and we are making it clear that if ANYTHING happens to any single one of us or any protesters, let it be known that it was done by the ENUGU STATE GOVERNMENT”
He also stated that dspite the thugs trying to fight the peaceful protesters, they remained calm with the governor leaving them without a word. Phyno, however, made it clear that the protest won”t stop until their demands are met.
He wrote, “As we have been saying: The movement won’t stop! We come in peace as always”
The Enugu protest is one of the #ENDSARS protest that has taken place in different parts of the country to put an end to Police/SARS brutality.
