Peter Obi, a Presidential Aspirant and former Governor of Anambra State, initially part of the multiple candidates running under the umbrella of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, is likely going to join the Labour Party, as talks about his membership has started circulating some quarters.
The conversation has gone beyond mere indications since his recent exit from PDP as PeterObi in a letter addressed to the National Chairman of the PDP, Senator Iyorchia Ayu, announced his resignation yesterday from the party saying recent developments within the party had made it impossible for him to continue in the presidential race.

Also, some findings show that the former Anambra State Governor had been discussing with the Labour Party about the possibility of decamping to another credible political group for proper representation.
But, clarifications is yet to be obtained on whether or not the new party would gladly hand Obi an automatic ticket to head their presidential race come 2023 general election.
It was learnt that one of Nigeria’s renowned political economist, Prof. Pat Utomi, is expected to pick up the Presidential form of the same party today.
