Nigerian artiste Tobechukwu Victor Okoh, popularly known as Peruzzi recounts journey to fame and his relationship with his boss, Davido.
In an interview with motivational Tv host, Chude Jideonwo, he took the viewers through his early hustle and how he met Davido, particularly sharing a heart-wrenching story of how a cab driver made away with the 400k that Davido sent for his flight ticket to Dubai.
Peruzzi Recounts Journey to Fame
Narrating the story on the show, Peruzzi said that he was doing nothing when Davido called him to come to Dubai. With his passport and other travel documents sorted out by the next morning, Davido sent him the money to book his ticket. Still, at the time the money was being transferred, he had no account number and made the rookie mistake of using the account of the driver he booked.
Unfortunately, the driver blocked him on all platforms and that was how Peruzzi lost the money. According to him;
“I was like my ticket money is gone! I was looking for the Uber guy on Facebook. I went crazy. I went to Uber’s office and they said they had stopped the guy from working like a month ago. I was like where will I see 400k? What will I tell this guy that I just met? He would think that I have spent the money.”
Thankfully, he was able to manoeuvre the situation without so may hitches and slowly worked his way to fame
