To mange this situation, the spokesperson for the Presidential Campaign Council of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Segun Sowunmi, has suggested that the federal government uses the BVN to distribute funds to accounts with low balances inadequate to survive the lockdown. He said that this move no matter how little the money Is, will ensure it reaches a greater number of Nigerians. His suggestion has become the anthem as the day breaks on twitter with people adding their voices to his. Although this seems to be a wonderful idea, the question still remains, the people who actually need these funds to survive, do they really have bank accounts?
