Professor Patrick Lumumba, a former Director of the Kenyan Anti-Corruption Agency, has given an assignment to Nigerian Politicians if they ever want the country to be great again.
He emphasised the need for Nigerian leaders to consider the role of serving the citizens instead of being the ones served.
The renowned Professor stated this at the 10th-anniversary lecture in honour of the late second republic senate leader and Waziri of Ilorin, Dr Oloye Abubakar Olusola Saraki, on Monday 28, 2022.
Patrick Lumumba is known for his sensitive nerve-poking, yet motivational speeches. Anytime he addresses political and leadership issues, Nigerian politicians pay keen attention but fail to adhere to the message and start ruling for the betterment of their subjects.
He gave reasons for accepting to speak on a special occasion like this, adding that the late Dr Oloye Abubakar Olusola Saraki, was a respected leader that had the interest of his people at heart and that he carried many young politicians under his tutelage.
