The cases of missing children in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Abuja, are becoming too alarming as the affected parents and guardians have visited Human Rights Radio (Brekete Family live) to seek help finding their loved ones.
Because of the high number of missing persons, particularly children in Abuja and other parts of Nigeria, the radio had to dedicate the entire Saturday show to addressing cases of this nature to reduce the number piling up almost on daily basis.
On August 20, 2022, more than ten cases were treated of missing children and other persons and Consultant Iyke, standing in place of the Ordinary President, Ahmed Isah, revealed there are pending three hundred cases (300) with some suspicious elements attached to the narrations.
The scary part about the whole case is some children had gone missing for over three years and nothing had been done to find them even after reporting the case to Nigerian Police.
Some parents/Guardians also lamented about how police officers would extort them in the guise of tracking the missing kids but ends up yielding no result.
