Professor Yemi Osinbajo, the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, made a remark about Nigerian Comedians that seemed to leave everyone astonished.
The VP hinted that they are the funniest anywhere you go, adding that the vibrancy and expertise of the Nigerian Creative Artists and comedians give more than enough reasons to trust in the country’s future.
The Professor gave the commendations when he received a delegation of young Nigerian (comedy) Skit Industry practitioners under the Nigeria Skits Industry Awards, NSIA, led by its promoter, Hon. Bimbo Daramola, at the Presidential Villa Abuja.
He even admitted watching some skits, stating that what is needed in the industry now is support so the young generation can progress.
Govt Would Create Enabling Environment- Osinbajo
He stressed that Nigeria has incredible talents, that Government would create an enabling environment, set realistic goals and objectives to enable them to grow in the business.
The Vice President insisted that young skit comedians should utilize their platforms to promote social good and impact issues, stating that everyone with a large following also has a responsibility to draw nationwide attention to these concerns in the country.
