The Vice-President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, has reacted to the allegation raised by Godwin Obaseki, the Edo State Governor, who alleged that the federal government printed 60 Billion naira to shore up allocations for March.
Osinbajo described the allegation as false because of the clarifications provided by the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, the Chairman, Nigeria Governor’s Forum and the Minister of Finance.
While speaking during the 4th National Economic Council, NEC meeting, Osinbajo revealed that he deliberated with the State Governors, the Ministers and the Central Bank Governor on pertinent issues that concerns Nigerians.
Reacting to calls for secession, the Vice-President noted that the Presidency would continue to affirm the need for one Nigeria, despite those attempting to derail progress.
Meanwhile, Osinbajo noted that the Nigerian government understands the importance of addressing the rising agitation in certain parts of the country, adding that States have been directed to hold consultations and dialogues on the issues identified.
