Former Governor of Edo State, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole says he withdrew his support from his successor, Godwin Obaseki because he failed to continue with the upgrade of infrastructures he met on ground.
He said Obaseki could not deliver the dividends of democracy to Edo people, a promise the Governor made during his electioneering campaign in 2016.
Oshiomole said unlike the APC candidate, Obaseki did not put down what he wanted to do for the people of Edo State.
Also, candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forthcoming Edo Governorship election, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu has revealed the reason why the incumbent governor, Mr Godwin Obaseki will suffer defeat during the elections.
The APC candidate, who made this known during his ward to ward campaign at Ogua, Esan West, Amahor and Igueben Local Government Councils of the state said Obaseki has toyed with his chances of being re-elected by failing to keep to his electoral promises.
Ize-Iyamu noted that Obaseki missed his chances when he betrayed the trust of people of the state, adding that the governor’s inability to give an account of his stewardship to Edo people and the party compelled him to cross carpet to PDP where he would not be held accountable for his actions.
Iyamu further opined that the governor did nothing for Edo people for almost four years and does not deserve a second term.
He, however, explained his SIMPLE agenda to the people and promised to develop their lands by constructing more roads and employ teachers.
