As reactions continued to trail the arrest of Sunday Adeyemo, also known as Sunday Igboho, the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi has set up a caucus to interfere in the ordeals of the Yoruba activist. The 28-member committee is made up of prominent Southwest leaders.
The coordinator of the Ooni caucus, Akin Osuntokun, said the caucus would look into the issues surrounding the arrest of Igboho and other related matters.
According to Osuntokun, the Ooni of Ife had inaugurated an advisory council comprising eminent Yoruba sons and daughters across the political spectrum. He added that the inauguration ceremony had been scheduled over a month ago.
EveryEvery.ng gathered that the committee members to include the Olugbon of Igbon, Oba Olusola Alao; Senator Biodun Olujimi, Mrs Toyin Saraki, Mr Segun Awolowo, Prince Doyin Okupe, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, Prince Oye Oyewumi, Mr Muyiwa Ige and General Olu Okunnowo.

You will recall that security operatives arrested Igboho in Cadjèhoun Airport, Cotonou, with a Beninese passport while trying to flee to Germany.
His arrest in Benin is coming a few weeks after operatives of the Department of State Services raided his residence in Ibadan, Oyo state. The DSS accused Igboho of stockpiling weapons.
