The Commissioner for Health in Ondo state, Dr Wahab Adegbenro aged 65 has died of complications arriving from coronavirus infection.
According to reports, the commissioner had fallen ill for some days before finally giving in to the illness in the early hours of Thursday morning.
The death of Dr Wahab Adegbenro comes less than 48 hours after the governor of Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu had announced that he has also tested positive for coronavirus and is presently undergoing isolation and treatment.
The late commissioner for health held a Bachelor of Medicine degree (MBBS) from the University of Benin and was a member of the Nigerian Medical Association as well as other medical bodies in the country.
