The National Youth Service Corps scheme, NYSC registration for the Batch A orientation course is on despite the coronavirus pandemic.
NYSC Registration Update
The information on the NYSC registration portal says the registration which was on from 20th February is supposed to end on the 29th June 2020, and the mobilization is for Batch A, 2020
The NYSC also made this information known in a statement released on its Twitter social media page, the agency stressed on the importance of the correct date of birth to be used during registration, noting that the agency would not entertain a request for the correction of date of birth on the Certificate of National Service (CNS) after the service was done.
The NYSC agency advised prospective corps members to use the link on their dashboard provided for the correction of date of birth during online registration.
The NYSC registration scheme was halted due to the coronavirus pandemic in the world, with the different batches that were still undergoing service given some leeway during their service year.
The NYSC scheme had a low-key passing out parade for their batches who were done with their one-year mandatory service, with certificates given out in groups to avoid crowding and also practice social distancing among themselves as regulated by the NCDC and other government health bodies.
