NURTW Face-Off
You will recall that the Ondo State government recently suspended the Road Transport Employers (RTEAN) and National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW).
The Senior Special Assistant to Governor Akeredolu on Special Duties and Strategy, Adedoyin Odebowale, later confirmed that the Ondo State Government had announced the indefinite suspension of the NURTW in the State.
Odebowale said Governor Akeredolu had ordered all NURTW members to vacate all motor parks across the State.
Odebowale said the Governor gave the vacating order because of the unruly behaviours of some leaders of the NURTW.
He opined that the State government would not fold his hands and watch innocent citizens suffer in NURTW members’ hands.
Meanwhile, Odebowale revealed that the indefinite suspension does not affect the Road Transport Employers (RTEAN).
