Nollywood has lost one of its own to the cold hands of death, as the passing of Osmond Gbadebo was confirmed on Monday.
The death of the actor came as a shock to many, and some of his colleagues took to their Instagram pages to mourn his death.
Veteran actress, Fausat Balogun popularly known as Madam Saje broke the news of his death to her followers.
She revealed that Osmond Gbadebo died at about 4:00 am on Monday after a brief battle with an undisclosed illness.
Reacting to the death, filmmaker Afeez Owo wrote: “It was early morning at four when death knocked upon your bedroom door. Iku lopin irin Ajo eda laye”.
Another actress Laide Bakare shared a video and photo of their recent meeting with the caption, “I was with You Four days ago, This is so Sad.”
Bakare Zainab wrote, “Osmond Osmond Osmond why??? I saved all these videos to celebrate your birthday and your daughter’s birth, but you asked me not to post them. Osmond, why did you leave that 2-week-old child?
“Why did you do this to your loved ones? Why did you die??? May!! Your birth month, your child’s birth month, now your death month, ahhh may God be pleased with your soul. This broke me to pieces, Po”.
Gbadebo reported to have died in his forties, featured in movies such as Ewon Ife, Queen Lateefat, Edunjobi, Hired Killer and many others.
