Many Nigerians have concluded that Nigeria is no longer safe for many girls and ladies because of the rate at which some of them becomes a victim of rape, molestation and even murder in the hands of criminally minded people.
The recent report about the rape and murder of an Akwa Ibom based job seeker, Iniobong Umoren, also known as Hinny Humoren, is an attestation that society has failed to protect many ladies.
According to reports, Hinny Humoren was declared missing after she embarked on a journey for an interview which she later found out to be a scam.
Many Nigerians made efforts to locate and rescue her, only to find out that her suspected Kidnapper had raped, murdered and buried her in a shallow grave.
Everyevery.ng gathered that the suspect, Uduak Frank Akpan, was finally picked up, and he confessed to raping and killing Hinny, after which he buried her in a shallow grave.
Meanwhile, following pressure from social media on the Police, the suspect ran to Oron in Akwa Ibom State and later to Uruan, where the Police picked him up.

According to the brother of the slained job seeker, there are more dead bodies where Hinny was killed, adding that the suspect killed her for ritual purpose.
Reacting to the heartbreaking news about Hinny’s murder, many Nigerians mourned her demise and blamed the unfortunate incident on bad leadership and a high unemployment rate.
@mrfestusogun “Hinny’s death is one too many. Many avoidable deaths but for the failure of leadership. May her soul rest well in the Lord.”
@H_Enobong “I’m from Akwa Ibom state, and Iniobong Umoren is my sister; things are hard in my state. 9 and a half out of 10 youth in Akwa Ibom are graduate and jobless because there’s no job in that place. Why kill your sister who is struggling as you do.”
Many Nigerian celebrities, including the winner of Season 6 BBNaija reality Tv show, Laycon have also expressed concern and heartbreak over the gruesome murder of Hinny, and some of them concluded that Nigeria failed the young lady.
