A young Nigerian man recognized as Jagbefume Oriagioge, has allegedly taken his life after being accused of defiling a minor in Delta state.
Jagbefume Oriagioge, a 45-year-old man, described as a dedicated usher at one of the branches of the Redeemed Christian Church of God Agbor, was found dead hanging from the ceiling in his room at Iregwa Street on Saturday 17th of July.
Based on accounts, Jagbefume, popularly known as pastor, took his life after he was blamed for having canal knowledge of his neighbour’s underaged daughters.
A neighbour of the deceased gave a statement regarding the tragic event, saying,
“The deceased was suspected to have ended his life as he could no longer bear the shame of allegedly having carnal knowledge of his neighbour’s female child”
The spokesperson for the state police command stated that the body was deposited at the mortuary at Central Hospital Agbor for autopsy.
