The National Association of Resident Doctors which covers all the doctors working in government facilities in Nigeria has issued a notice of industrial action effective from Monday 15th June 2020. This will include all the doctors working in all COVID-19 isolation centers.
The National President, Dr. Aliyu Sokomba who signed the official notice confirmed that the strike will be all over the country despite the coronavirus pandemic. He accused the government of failing to redeem the pledges it made to them in areas of salary and working conditions. He also confirmed that the duration of the strike will be indefinite and no service shall be exempted.

Included in the strike are all medical officers below the rank of principal medical officer and. house officers.
Expressing regret for the action, he sympathised with Nigerians but insisted that they can no longer condone all the mistreatments metted on them.
