Netflix releases sequel to 365 Days
With its, “daydreamable” alpha male stereotype, outstanding soundtrack, showy luxury, and unrealistic sex scenes, it is no surprise that it became the first movie to ever take Netflix’s number 1 spot twice. 365 days, became the movie that offered porn without the accompanying guilt trip.
A movie glamorizing Kidnapping, violent and delusive intercourse, gang rival, and inexplicable display of wealth, should have been left as a one-off. Instead, encouraged by their initial success or following their original plan, the franchise has released two more sequels.
The second was released on the 29th of April 2022 and the third on the 19th of April 2022. The movie running till a trilogy amplified the numerous flaws in its execution. Shallow characters and mentally vapid dialogues haunt the overstretched plot.
The third part of the trilogy runs for about 2 hours, with nothing less than 5 intimate scenes. The leading female has undergone a character development leading to narcissism and a selfish sense of entitlement.
The main relationship still borders on abuse especially emotionally. And the popular catchphrase, “are you lost baby girl?”, has been polished too, “are you back baby girl?”. It ends on an indecisive note that suggests part four. A great movie to watch with your partner if there’s a need to initiate steamy sessions is “Netflix and chill”.
As much as the entertainment in 365 days doesn’t go above sexual, the movie still seems to have the mass on a chokehold. The franchise must be giving the masses something they want.
