Pastor Enoch Adeboye
General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adeboye has revealed a little about the life of his late mother and how she directed that somethings were done before her death.
According to him, his mother called him and made some requests from him before she passed, which made him lose his fear of death.
‘ I stopped fearing death after my mother called one day before she died. She said to me, the way the things are going you will not be in when I would die but I want to see how my burial is going to be when I am gone.
” I want to be buried in a wedding gown, and I want the wedding to be like that of a person who is really about to get married.
Pastor Enoch Adeboye, went ahead to explain what he did to the adoration of his mother as she has requested. ” We made a white casket for her; it was a type that can be opened by the side, so we opened the side; she entered and slept in it.
” She liked it and said yes, this is good. One of my daughters came to take her measurement and made her a wedding gown. She wore it and said, yes this is befitting.
” After she inspected everything, she said these are good; now I can go. Since that day, I stopped to fear death.”
Pastor Adeboye used the opportunity to advise Christians not to fear death because according to him, death has not final say over anybody.
