Nigerian music artist and music label executive, Mr Eazi, has signed a global publishing deal with Kobalt courtesy of emPawa label.
Kobalt, which holds rights for top international music artists like The Weeknd, Childish Gambino, Diplo and Roody Rich, will now start to distribute the songs of all artist under Mr Eazi’s ’emPawa’ label.
emPawa has in its list artists like Joeboy, Killertunes, Whoisakin and Mr Eazi himself. The record label has produced top-charting songs such as Joeboy’s ‘Calling‘, ‘Beginning‘, as well as top music collaborations with artists such as Beyonce, Major Lazer, and Balvin & Bad Bunny.
The record label has now signed a big global publishing deal with Kobalt. The CEO Kobalt Music, Laurent Hubert made this known as he said, ‘‘Mr Eazi and his team have built up an impressive catalog in a short amount of time.
”The excitement from their music and mission should be represented worldwide and we look forward to supporting them through our global creative teams and administration’‘ he added.
Mr Eazi’s emPawa music label has been doing great things in talent hunting programs in Africa which help upcoming African artists with grants, mentorship, and education in the music program.
This has also got the founder to be featured on American’s Billboard magazine alongside Davido and Tiwa Savage earlier in the year.
