The family of the late singer Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, well known as Mohbad, has carried out a second autopsy to uncover the reason behind his death.
Mohbad’s father, Mr Joseph Aloba, was permitted by Magistrate T.A Shotobi of the Ikorodu Coroner Court in Lagos on June 26 to organize an independent evaluation by a certified pathologist.
The court specified that Mr Aloba would be responsible for all the costs involved.
The family’s statement, signed by a member of their legal team, Monisola Odumosu, stated that the autopsy occurred on Friday, July 19, and Saturday, July 20.
The process is divided into two phases; the first phase is complete, and if the cause of death remains unclear, toxicology and histology tests will follow.
The examination was overseen by Mohbad’s dad, Joseph Aloba, together with pathologists chosen by both him and Mohbad’s wife, Wunmi Aloba.
Mohbad passed away on September 12, 2023. The initial autopsy, done after his body was exhumed on September 21, 2023, did not identify the cause of the death because of decomposition.
