Burna Boy, Wizkid, Davido & So On Make MOBO Award 2020 List
MOBO award nomination list for 2020 has been released with several of Nigeria’s top music artistes battling it out with their colleagues around the world.
The 2020 award will be held on the 7th of December, 2020 on YouTube has announced today.
The MOBO Awards are an annual music award presentation honouring achievements in “music of black origin”, including hip hop, grime, R&B, soul, reggae, jazz, gospel, and African music.
Nigerian Music Artistes In MOBO Award 2020 List
The trio of Nigeria’s best music artistes made it into this year’s award. Burna Boy and Rema however got two nominations each as they listed in two categories.
In the MOBO 2020 ‘Best International Act’ category, Burna Boy and Rema were listed alongside Drake, Pop Smoke, Koffee, Megan Thee Stallion,Popcaan, Roddy Ricch, Shenseea, Summer Walker, H.E.R, and Lil Baby.
Nigerian music artistes also made it to the ‘Best African Act’ category which has Davido, Wizkid, and Burna Boy battling it out with Tiwa Savage, Fireboy DML, Adekunle Gold, Rema and Rema.
Other Africans in the ‘Best African Act’ include Ghanaians Shatta Wale & Stonebwoy, as well as NSG, Master KG, and Afro B.
Voting has resumed for the MOBO Awards 2020 in which winners will be announced on Wednesday, 7th of December, 2020.
