Part 2 of the comedy series was met with backlash from social media users who think it was a waste of time despite its star-studded cast.
The movie, directed by Niyi Akinmolayan and produced by Mo Abudu, is a sequel to the original Chief Daddy film, premiered in 2018.
The original film shows the battle of extended family members struggles to claim a part of the wealth left behind by the head of the family Chief Daddy.
On Friday, Mo Abudu shared the video where she said, “As the CEO of the EbonyLife Group, I am aware of the mixed reactions to the release of Chief Daddy 2 on the 1st of January on Netflix.”
The 57-year-old appreciated the fans for their support and feedback; while recalling some great movies they have produced in the past, she said, “Your voices are heard.”
The media mogul calls for constructive feedback, which would help her and the team continuously produce quality movies from their studios.
“Please share your feedback respectfully; otherwise, we will have to restrict entry to you on our pages,” she noted.
