The Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria(MACBAN), Oyo state chapter has expressed the readiness to support the setting up of Western Security Network, codenamed Operation Amotekun in the state.
Everyeveryng gathered that the former chairman of the association in the state, Alhaji Yakub Bello disclosed this at a public hearing organized by the Oyo State House of Assembly on Amotekun bill.
The hearing took place at House of Chiefs, Secretariat, Agodi, Ibadan.
The Miyetti Allah leader denied the insinuation in some quarters that the bill was targeted at the cattle breeders.

He said:” The bill was not targeted at anybody, those that are peddling the rumors are the real trouble makers and enemy of progress.”
Bello added that Amotekun would provide the enabling environment and security for the cattle breeders to do their work without any fear of being attacked.
However, Bello requested that members of the association should be included in the initiative to enhance the job of the outfit.
”So our request is to include Miyetti Allah as members of operation Amotekun to enhance the job of the outfit, since the terrain of where we rear our cattle.
”Having Fulani among the outfit will make it easier for Amotekun men to distinguish between genuine herdsmen and the criminals while on patrol.
Bello added that a Fulani man can also serve as an interpreter while interrogating any suspected heardsman.
In attendance at the public hearing are Yoruba interest groups led by Professor Banji Akintoye; members of various groups such as Farmers Association of Nigeria; Vigilante Association of Nigeria; Odua Peoples Congress (OPC); National Union of Road Transport Workers(NURTW) amongst others.
