Barely 24 hours after he denied reports about his latest appointment as a Manager in the Department of Petroleum Resources, DPR, the purported employment letter of Bashir Ahmad had surfaced online.
Ahmad, the Special Assistant to President Buhari on New Media, had earlier described the reports about his latest appointment as false.
In a tweet, the Presidential aide said a friend sent him a link to what he tagged a concocted story from an online news blog that the President has quietly appointed him as a DPR manager.
Media Outlet Nails Bashir Ahmad
Reacting to a tweet about the reports making the round, Bashir claimed that he did not know where DPR office is located.
Meanwhile, in a letter posted online by a media outlet, Peoples Gazette, DPR announced that Bashir was offered an appointment as project manager/supervisor of the National Monitoring System (NPMS).
Also, he would get N437,000 as a consolidated salary while the benefits attached to the position are specified in the department’s service condition.
Meanwhile, it was further stated that the offer is subject to his passing a comprehensive medical test to be conducted by the DPR/NNPC doctors and a successful police clearance.
