Many caught hiding amongst rams sneaking into Kaduna. Not less than 15 young men have been arrested as they tried to sneak into Kaduna from Kano on two trucks. The men were carefully hidden behind and amongst rams and motorcycles packed on the truck.

The commissioner of Internal Security and Home Affairs in Kaduna, Samuel Aruwan, while adressing the matter affirmed that they got the information when the two trucks had left the Kano Kaduna border and were proceeding to Gwargwaji local government in Zaria. They have since been turned back to Kano in respect of the ban on interstate travels because of coronavirus.

“We got information that these lorries had come in from the Kaduna-Kano border and had progressed up to Gwargwaji in Zaria LGA. .

We then proceeded to nab them further along within the same local government. The passengers were cleverly concealed behind random goods, motorcycles and animals. .

Thankfully, once again we have got the better of them, and we have turned them back, in compliance with the Kaduna State Government’s ban on inter-state travel.“

Before now, not less than 9 persons who travelled from Kano to Kaduna tested positive to coronavirus after arriving Kaduna.
