The Lagos State Government has confirmed the appointment of a new Director-General of the Lagos State Pension Commission, LASPEC.
The governor of the state, Babajide Sanwo-Olu approved Mr Babalola Obilana as the new Director-General of the commission on Tuesday, according to a statement released by the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Lagos State Pension Commission, Mrs M.A. Eko.
The new DG Babalola Obilana is the successor to Mrs Folashade Onanuga, and is also a proven professional with 28 years of experience from various financial institutions.
He is a graduate of Actuarial science from the University of Lagos, with an MBA from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, and is also an alumni of the Lagos Business School for Senior Management Programme.
Mrs M.A. Eko added, “Obilana on the assumption of duty and in a meeting with top management official of the commission, earlier on Tuesday, promised to bring his wealth of experience and knowledge to bear at the agency. He appreciated Governor Sanwo-Olu for giving him the opportunity to contribute his quota to uplift Lagos State.”
