Following series of reports by SaharaReporters that the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa engaged in looting of public funds, the speaker has granted the invitation of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
It was gathered that the visit was his first to the anti-graft office since allegations of corruption began surfacing against him in 2019. He was said to have arrived at the EFCC office in Ikoyi shortly after 10:00 am on Thursday.
His appearance followed an invitation from anti-graft detectives who have been probing his alleged involvement in a series of theft in Lagos, though he has denied the allegations.
According to sources, over 90 houses were traced to Mr Obasa, who was also accused of using 64 bank accounts in pilfering public funds.
