In Lagos State, some of the residents have started calling on the government to declare a state of emergency following the simultaneous crisis ongoing in various areas.
One of the clashes was triggered by the alleged killing of an army officer by a policeman, where it was further gathered that the soldiers stormed a police station to retaliate against the death of their colleague.
Other incidents include the naira scarcity protests. Areas in the state like Mile 12, Ikorodu, Ojota, Agege, and Ketu, just to mention a few, have since witnessed a series of chaos that has seen public facilities destroyed in the process.
Lagos State residents have been posting images, videos and captions on the Microblogging platform, Twitter, to show the unrests that have ravaged many parts of the state.
The crisis that started Thursday continues to spread across different areas and has extended to Friday with less or no security operatives to restore calm in the cities.
