The weird request made by Alhaji Ibrahim Mohammed, the King of the physically impaired beggars in Oyo State, has left many people in shock and wondering about the kind of audacity he had.
Alhaji Mohammed, who told journalists that he has three wives and many children, demanded better accommodation from the Seyi Makinde-led government.
The King of the blind beggars in Oyo State was among hundreds of beggars recently relocated to a newly built resettlement centre from the Sabo area, Ibadan.

He demanded that the Oyo state government should build separate rooms for beggars with wives and children. According to Mohammed, it is not ideal and appropriate for him to be sleeping in a public space with his wives.
He urged governor Makinde to construct rooms for married couples among the beggars. He further explained that though the present expansive rooms can accommodate more than 20 people, the government should build different rooms for the married beggars in Oyo state.
In the meantime, Governor Makinde said he had ordered an investigation into the mayhem that happened in Iwo road area of Ibadan to ensure that everyone involved in the dastardly act is punished.
He said, his government would sanitise the area behind Iwo Road where cultists congregate, adding that he would also review the Park Management System, PMS.
Makinde disclosed that he had informed the phone sellers to choose representatives who will discuss how the government could assist them.
