Kiki Mordi reacts after being called out for documentary theft
Moments after a fellow journalist, Ruona Meyer, accused her of theft, Kiki Mordi gives her response to the ‘Sex For grades’ theft allegations.
Recall that earlier in the day, Kiki got an award from the International Centre For Journalist( ICFJ) as the 2020 winner for the Micheal Elliot African Storytelling category.
This drew a fellow Journalist’s attention to her who then wrote a thread to tell all and sundry that the ‘Sex For Grades’ Documentary that has fetched Kiki Mordi several Local and International awards was a stolen story.
Ruona claimed that the real owner of the story was another journalist whose name she approached
This attracted a lot of vitriol to Kiki as is usual with Twitter, with many dragging her for filth and asking her to give honour to whom honour is due.
Responding to this Kiki called Ruona a bitter person who has had it out for her because she is getting recognised. She shared screenshots where Ruona asked her not to retweet the work of another journalist so it does not take her shine.
After her train of tweets, she warned that anyone who believed Ruona do at their own risk. She wrote,
“The point of this particular tweet is that Ruona is a fisherwoman, if you chop her bait you’ll be taken for an idiot. If you don’t, she’ll use the idiot that chopped her bait against you. It’s a sad life.”
