Kidnappers have made an unrealistic price demand before considering releasing the Head of Erubu abducted a week ago.
Dr Zubair Erubu was kidnapped on Thursday, 09, 2021, and is a retired Permanent Secretary and presently the District Head of Erubu.
Yesterday, it was gathered that the abductors closed all rooms for negotiation over the ransom payment and dictated the terms and conditions.
They placed the price at sixty-million naira (N60m), which they said needed to be paid as fast as possible, else, his family would not secure his release.
A source revealed from permanent secretary’s family revealed that they were lately contacted to pay a certain amount of money and since the demand was made, they all have been in shock.
The family member who pleaded anonymity narrated that, “This is a terrible moment for us, and it’s traumatic. We pray that they do not harm doctors. We are trusting Almighty Allah that he would be released soon without any problem.”
Everyevery.ng learnt that the District Head of Erubu was returning from Ilorin metropolis to retire at his Ago-Oja residence in Asa Local Government Area of the state when the kidnappers struck seized him.
