Kano State has taken over the second position from the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Abuja on the Coronavirus chat of the country.
Lagos state has been the epic centre of Coronavirus in Nigeria and has retained the position since the country’s index case was confirmed in February 2020.
With the newly confirmed Coronavirus cases announced by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, Lagos State has 1,011 cases.
Before the last updates by NCDC on Thursday, April, 30, FCT held on to the second position but has now lost it to Kano State that currently has 219 as against 178 cases in FCT.
Nigeria now has 1932 confirmed cases of Coronavirus with the government working hard on stemming the spike of community spreading of the virus.
After about 24 days of lockdown order on some states across Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buhari announced that the lockdown be eased.
Some civil servants are expected to resume work on Monday, May 4, with this, there are fears that the increase in the confirmed cases would not be as we have it now.
