As kano state now has 219 confirmed cases of Coronavirus which is the second largest number in the country, the Nigeria Centre For Disease Control, NCDC, has opened a second testing centre in the state.
The announcement of the second Molecular Laboratory was announced on the agency’s official Twitter handle.
“The 18th COVID-19 testing laboratory has been activated at Bayero University, Kano – the second laboratory to be activated in the state.
“We remain committed to rapidly scaling up COVID-19 testing capacity in Nigeria, as outlined in the national testing strategy.”
According to NCDC, this new Molecular laboratory is meant to help in getting more test done as the spike in confirmed cases in the State continues to increase.
